OTHER NEWS

from Bill Carrier
UFFL TEN YEAR REUNION!
The upcoming season will be the 10th for the UFFL, and I thought it would be fun if we got together for the draft. Therefore, I am inviting all owners plus their wives/significant others/kids to Celebration, Florida, which is just outside Orlando. My parents have built a retirement house there, but it is currently unoccupied. The weekend will be Labor Day weekend. Labor Day is Monday, Sep. 3 (the NFL season starts Sun., Sep. 9), and we can hold the draft sometime that weekend.

There are lots of things to do that are very close by, such as:

--a 10 minute drive from all Disney Theme Parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, MGM, etc.) and Universal and Sea World and all of that other Disney stuff
--a 5 minute drive from a golf course
--a few blocks' walk to a swimming pool
--pool table and ping pong table at the house

The house should be big enough to hold everyone, as long as all 12 owners + guests don't decide they want to come. Since we've never gotten all UFFL owners to any event in the history of the league, I'm not too worried about that.

Just let me know if you're interested in going and who you might be bringing. There's no rush, since no reservations are needed, but some idea of what you might be thinking would be appreciated.

We'll vote on rule change proposals on draft night. Proposals must be sent to me between Aug. 20 and Aug. 29. Do not send them before Aug. 20. I will just delete them.
