UFFL Hall Of Fame

The UFFL Hall Of Fame has been redesigned to give each league owner a chance to honor players that he feels have made a significant contribution to his team's performance over the years. Each individual team will have their own personal Hall of Fame. The idea is very similar to an NFL team retiring a player's jersey number to honor that person. Each owner is responsible for choosing the players that he wants to be in their Hall of Fame.

The basic rules are as follows:

1. The player must have been on the owner's roster for a minimum of three years.
2. Each year, only one person can be added to a team's Hall of Fame.
3. A player does not have to be retired or inactive to enter a team's Hall of Fame
4. The same player can be in more than one team's Hall of Fame.

1999 is the first year for the hall of Fame, so each original UFFL team is allowed to induct up to five players. Each 1994 expansion team can induct up to four players. In subesquent years, only one player per team may be added. It is entirely up to the owner which, if any, players to induct into his Hall of Fame.

BAKE-O'S
Class of 1999
Notes by Dan Shim
QB Vinny Testaverde
1993-97
Token ex-Brown
RB Mario Bates
1994-97
More promise than results, but hey, even one-season wonders can withstand the test of time...
RB Terrell Davis
1995-
I always hated the Broncos, but you know what this Brown fan says: if you can't beat 'em, trade for 'em. Once I realized this maxim my team started winning...
TE Shannon Sharpe
1993-
K Jason Elam
1993-

EGOMANIACS

42nd AIRBORNE
Techinically, since 42nd Airborne was only in the league for two years, none of their players qualify for Hall of Fame inclusion under the 42nd Airborne banner. However, since the 42nd made such a positive contribution to the won-lost records of the other teams in the league during its tenure, we feel it is only fair to include the team's career scoring leader in the Hall of Fame. There will be no other additions to 42nd's Hall.
Class of 1999
K Chip Lohmiller
1992-93
He scored 162 of 42nd's 469 total points in two years of play. The team's next four highest career scorers TOTAL 162 points. That might be why 42nd only won 6 games.

IRON MEN
Class of 1999
QB Brett Favre
1994-
IM's leading scorer every year but one (and even then he only missed by 3 pts), Favre has more than double the career points of any other player in IM history. In fact, up to this point in IM history, only 8 games have been played without Favre at QB and only three other TDP's have been thrown.

LETHAL WEAPON 4

MACBAIN'S 69th HIGHLANDERS
Class of 2000
Notes by Rod Bain
K Al Del Greco
1992-
Al Del Greco has been there since UFFL inception, starting with Ed, where he led the team to 8-8 in 1993 with his UFFL career-high 128 pts. Al then moved seamlessly to Urban Outdoorsmen, where he wisely faded into the woodwork of two hapless 5-9 disasters. He then shared in the glory days of the Necrotic Slough, where he lifted the multi-named franchise to its best winning percentage (.571!!) and first-ever Fantasy Bowl in 1996...*drum roll*...but despite 116 pts., couldn't quiiiiiite* close the deal. Anyway, now he finds himself in the struggle-and-rebuild world of Solvent Drag. While his point totals may be becoming increasingly inversely proportional to his age, he is unquestionably the star of the franchise, with a whopping 638 career UFFL points to his credit over the last 8 seasons (hey, wait, that's less than 100 points per year...). While his nomination to the UFFL Hall of Fame may speak more to the dearth of talent on his teams than the abundance of talent in his right foot, he is nonetheless the greatest player ever to wear the helmeted skull and crossbones of Solvent Drag. Or the horseshoes of Ed, or the hobo bag of Urban Outdoorsmen, or the...well,...necrotic slough of Necrotic Slough, for that matter.

MUNCHEN MAVERICKS
Class of 1999
QB Randall Cunningham
1992-95
A star from the early '90's, he led the team in scoring in 1992.
QB John Elway
1992-98
An original Maverick, he's the team's all-time leading scorer. He led the charge to a Consolation Bowl II win in '93.
RB Jerome Bettis
1993-
By far the team's leading career RB scoring leader, his 10 TDR's in 1996 remain a team record.
WR Tim Brown
1992-
Another original Mav who is still around, he is the team's all-time leading WR and one of the key's to MM's success.
TE Keith Jackson
1992-96
One of the UFFL's top scoring TE's, his impact was such that since he left the team after the '96 season, the Mavs have switched to the run-and-shoot.

OUTLAWS

RAGE
Class of 1999
K Pete Stoyanovich
1992-97
One of the top all-time UFFL scorers, he led Joe's team in scoring four years in a row, from 1992-95 and led Veneracion's Vagabonds to the Fantasy Bowl I title.

RENEGADE REBELS
Class of 1999
QB Steve Young
1992-97
An original RR draftee, he carried the Rebels to the 1994 league championsip with a league-record 140 point regular season, then 15 more in the playoffs.
RB Terry Allen
1993-
Provided the winning margin in Fantasy Bowl IV, scoring 12 pts in a 21-20 win. His 17 regular season TD's in 1996 led RR to a victory in Consolation Bowl V.
RB Barry Sanders
1995-98
The most explosive player in UFFL history (he had 9 +50 yd TDR's for RR alone since 1995), he led RR to Fantasy Bowl VII in 1997.
RB Emmitt Smith
1992-94
The first player ever drafted by RR, he was only with the Rebels for three years, but is still the team's top scoring RB ever.
K Steve Christie
1992-95
Another original draftee, his 9 points won Fantasy Bowl III for RR -- the final score was 12-6. He also led the league in scoring in 1992.

SEA STAGS
Class of 1999
RB Marcus Allen
1992-97
Sea Stags' all-time highest scoring RB, he was an original 1992 draftee. His consistent performances over the years enabled Sea Stags to play the run-and-shoot more effectively than any other team in the league.
WR Cris Carter
1994-
Traditionally the league's most successful run-and-shoot, it's no surprise to see these two, the team's most prolific WR's. Rice is an original Stag and the league's WR scoring leader and Carter has done well over the years, despite having played for 42nd Airborne in 1993.
WR Jerry Rice
1992-

SEATTLE BLUR

THE WINDMILLING CHAOS
Class of 1999
QB Chris Miller
1992-94
A star from the early days. If he hadn't blown out his knee in 1992, TWC might well have won the first Fantasy Bowl.
RB Thurman Thomas
1992-
The first pick in UFFL history and the only original TWC draftee left on the team. He may not have done much the last two or three years, but he'll always be the Thurmanator to me.
WR Mel Gray
1992-94
Only scored 3 TDs in his TWC career, but you never knew when he would break off a long one, and the excitement made it interesting for me.
WR Terance Mathis
1994-
One of the team's few consistent scorers over the last few years, he is also TWC's highest scoring career WR.
K Jason Hanson
1992-96
TWC's present all-time scoring leader, he was instrumental in leading TWC to their Fantasy Bowl II triumph, scoring 15 points in a 30-21 victory over Renegade Rebels.
