CONSOLATION BOWL VIII |
---|
Bake-O's 30 - Renegade Rebels 22 |
Bake-O's once again ride the arm of Steve Beuerlein (5 TDP) to a victory, and win their second Consolation Bowl in grand style over Renegade Rebels. The Rebs, with the twin surprises of QB Donovan McNabb in the lineup and WR Tim Dwight on the bench, lose for the first time in a Consolation Bowl and are now 4-3 all-time in Week 17 games. It was not as close as the score might seem. The only hand-wringing in this one was on Monday night as Bill must have been wondering "what might have been" as he watched Dwight carve up the 49ers. |

FANTASY BOWL VIII |
---|
Seattle Blur 44 - Outlaws 12 |
No tie this year. Seattle Blur destroy Outlaws to win their seventh game in a row and their first Fantasy Bowl championship with a Fantasy Bowl record 44 points (the 29 point margin of victory was a FB record, too). Dorsey Levens scores 4 TDR to lead the way as the Colts and Jaguars do nothing, to doom Jim's chances. A fine run by Outlaws this year, though: only their second winning record ever and a league-high offensive production must give Jim hope for the new millenium. Not even Tim Dwight could have helped today, however. |
