Bake-O's 36 - Iron Men 35
Byron Chamberlain! Who'd'a thunk it? A GOTW that actually lived up to the hype! Byron "Who?" Chamberlain goes 57 yards in the fourth quarter Monday Night and the Elam XP capped a remarkable Bake-O's comeback and put the Shims into the playoffs. They're hot too, riding a four game win streak. Brian can go home for the winter, a hard-luck loser in the most exciting game of the year, wondering...I wonder if I shoulda started a TE?

Munchen Mavericks 18 - Lethal Weapon 4 16
Another Monday Night comeback in this one as Mike Hollis won the game for both Jax and...um..."Brett" with his last second FG. The Mavs got a TDR from their QB and a TDP from their RB. Who invented this screwy game, anyway? LW4 stumbles into the playoffs on a two game losing streak and has Bake-O's on deck. Could be interesting in Wk 15.

Outlaws 27 - Rage 19
Outlaws close out the regular season with a firm win over Rage, who sort of turned out to be just Mildly Irritated this year. We're in it together Joe. Stephen Davis closed with another excellent performance for Outlaws, who get the bye this week, but are ready for a run at thir first UFFL title.

Renegade Rebels 23 - Solvent Drag 17
Renegade Rebels complete their comeback from a dismal 1998, capping a season-ending five game win streak with a win over Solvent Drag, who started out so promisingly, all those weeks ago. Then Biaka got hurt, Emmitt got hurt, and Del Greco got old. Pity. If Eddie George stays hot, look for the Rebs to be right in the title hunt. They get Sea Stags next week.

Sea Stags 38 - Egomaniacs 30
Talk about warmed up; Sea Stags pillage Egomaniacs, withstanding the strong challenge. Only Byron Chamberlain and his antics kept this game from MELdom. Randy Moss. 'Nuff said. The injury bug hit, though, and Cris Carter and John Kasay both have been knocked out of the playoffs. They're Staggering, but not out yet. Another dandy for your Wk 15 enjoyment.

Seattle Blur 11 - The Windmilling Chaos 10
TWC revert to a 1996ish state, giving up a little, scoring less, and lose their seventh in a row to close it out. Hello #1 Pick. Sigh. Seattle Blur win a very ugly game (but not as fugly as that 5-5 stinker a few weeks back) and secure the Number One Seed, as well as the best 14-game record in UFFL history. Forgive me a slight indulgence if I take the extra space to point out the only thing of note in this game -- the return of the Thurmanator, who got the first (and only) points from a TWC RB in 1999. And there was much rejoicing. (yay....)
