Munchen Mavericks 28 - The Windmilling Chaos 14 |
---|
Munchen Mavericks roll to a win over a TWC team that is falling apart at the seams. No points from the top of the lineup spell doom for the suddenly Grieseless 0-4 Chaos. The Mavs are 3-1 and Number One with a bullet atop the LIMB division. I could say they are out on a LIMB, but I choose not to at this time. I'll use that pun later in the season. Mike Hollis' contribution was less than usual, but the Mavs still prevail. This week: Outlaws. Fun fun fun! |

Outlaws 24 - Seattle Blur 15 |
---|
Outlaws fail to get the Mel this week, but grit out a win over a gutty Blur squad to leave them the only undefeated team in the UFFL as the Blur fall to 3-1. A win this week by Outlaws will equal the all-time best UFFL start of 5-0 (Bake-O's, 1994 (unlike Bake-O's, 1999 (sorry Dan!))). The lack of a TE in his lineup probably didn't hurt Fred too much, but I think he should have drafted Kellen Winslow just in case he came out of retirement. Karl might have drafted Sterling Sharpe, but this isn't a Sea Stags report so the point is moot. Anyway, Jim won, Fred lost, and I really wish I still had Elvis Grbac on my roster right about now. |

Rage 25 - Iron Men 8 |
---|
Rage scores 25 for the second straight week but win this time, beating up on Iron Men to leave them both at 2-2, squarely in the middle of the road. Joe finally started Troy Aikman and it paid off, as the big guy got himself a +50 TDP. Way to go, Troy! Unfortunately for Brian, the TD explosion in Dallas did him in as Opie Taylor got nothing but XP's...no FG's in Dallas for the second time this year. And Brian, why did you cut your second TE? I'm confused. Aren't you a wishbone team? |
Rage 25 Iron Men 8 ======================== ======================== QB Troy Aikman 9 QB Jake Plummer 3 RB Mike Alstott 0 RB Cecil Collins 0 RB Fred Taylor 0 RB Corey Dillon 0 WR Antonio Freeman 0 RB Byron Hanspard 0 WR Kevin Johnson 6 TE Kyle Brady 0 TE Wesley Walls 3 TE NONE 0 K Adam Vinatieri 8 K Richie Cunningham 5 |
Renegade Rebels 33 - Egomaniacs 28 |
---|
A big Monday Night for Pick-Em-Up-On-A-Bye-Week Kicker Who Just Pops Up Now and Then Despite Scoring a Bunch of Points In Real Life (see Steve Christie reference from last week) Olindo Mare saves Carrier's bacon in the Battle of the Bills. Knaak had the solid, yet shaky, seven point lead, and three first half Mare FG's took all the drama away like this: poof (sorry). Anyway, Jeff Garcia has the Ego QB situation in hand, but Kordell Stewart has the Rebs scratching their collective heads. Both teams are 2-2 now, and Ego gets the Drag this weekend, which may or may not be a blessing (see below). |

Solvent Drag 43 - Lethal Weapon 4 21 |
---|
What the heck is Tshimanga Biakabutuaka eating for breaksfast, and why doesn't Fred Lane eat it too then hit him with a stick and make him sit out a week so I can win a game? Solvent Drag win their second game in a row behind the most inexplicable UFFL Scoring Leader ever, Tshimanga the Suddenly-Ever-So-Fast-and-Shifty, who has five TDR's (including three +60 yds) in the last two weeks! He's on bye this week, so that may break his momentum, but the Drag is 2-2 and doing quite well despite their roster! Poor Ted, he's 2-2 as well, but there's no room left to really talk about it because Tshimanga's name is so long! Sorry, dude. |
Solvent Drag 43 Lethal Weapon 4 21 ======================== ======================== QB Dan Marino 3 QB Rich Gannon 6 RB Tim Biakabutuka 24 RB Natrone Means 0 RB Emmitt Smith 6 RB Antowain Smith 6 WR Bert Emanuel 0 WR Keyshawn Johnson 3 WR Eddie Kennison 0 WR Yancey Thigpen 3 TE Tony McGee 0 TE Eric Green 0 K Al Del Greco 10 K Gary Anderson 3 |
Sea Stags 27 - Bake-O's 19 |
---|
Sea Stags ride a big 12 pt game for John Kasay (UFFL fun fact: my dad knows John Kasay's mother. Or used to, anyway, when Kasay was at UGA) to a win and a 2-2 record. They knock Bake-O's down to 0-4 along with the Broncos. The blow to BO (not to mention Denver) was even worse though, when Terrell Davis (who also played at UGA (my dad doesn't know his mom, though (he's from San Diego (Terrell, not my dad (he's from Arkansas))))) pulled a Jamal and tore his knee all to hell. Welcome to my world, Dan. See you on Sunday. Ugh. |
