Egomaniacs 35 - Sea Stags - 13 |
---|
The resurrection of Egomaniacs continues thanks to a 5 FG, 20 pt game from Todd Peterson and balanced scoring from the rest of the team. Will Steve Young's concussion do them in though? We'll see. Sea Stags fall to 1-2 despite TD's from Randy Moss and Jerry Rice. The focus on the running game in Washington this week did them in. Coming up, Ego has Renegade Rebels, always a tough opponent, and the Stags look to get well off 0-3 Bake-O's. |

Iron Men 17 - Bake-O's 13 |
---|
Speaking of 0-3 Bake-O's, we finally have the answer to the question that's been bugging us all for the last four years: "What would become of Bake-O's if the Broncos ever sucked?" Only 20 points combined from Dan's Denver boys in the first three games of the year. Ugh. At least Mario Bates scored! Iron Men, meanwhile, rise to 2-1 behind 14 big points from Steve Christie, who along with Doug Brien are the Official UFFL Pick-Em-Up-On-A-Bye-Week Kickers Who Just Pop Up Now and Then Despite Scoring a Bunch of Points In Real Life. |

Lethal Weapon 4 28 - Munchen Mavericks 14 |
---|
Lethal Weapon 4 is 2-1 now despite not having had a functional TE since Week 1. Who knew? Peyton Manning is running wild, throwing for two TD's this week and running for one more. The Mavs are also 2-1 behind UFFL scoring leader Mike Hollis, and they have TWC this week, so they will probably win their third game of the season in a big way, unless Fred Lane just goes wild. Which probably won't happen. |

Outlaws 36 - Rage 25 |
---|
Outlaws become the first team to ever win three Mel Gray games in a row by scoring big again and beating up on poor Rage. Three TDR's from Stephen Davis gave Jim's guys a cushion and they never looked back. Who ever thought Outlaws would be 3-0? They get Seattle Blur this week in a battle of 3-0 teams. Rage was respectable, though, riding one of those "balanced" games that Joe seems to specialize in. No really big scorers, but lots of little ones. They're a tough 1-2. |

Seattle Blur 23 - The Windmilling Chaos 17 |
---|
Seattle Blur moves to 3-0 behind a Rageian performance. Five starters scored, but none more than eight points. TWC, a punchless 0-3, finally got points from someone other than Griese or Longwell, but it took a back-up QB in Pittsburgh to make it happen. Figures. And how long will Chris Chandler be hurt? Oy, gonna be a long year for TWC. The Blur is in a little bit better shape (ya think?) heading into their confrontation with Outlaws for UFFL Supremacy. |

Solvent Drag 32 - Renegade Rebels 19 |
---|
Solvent Drag went from being the best 0-2 team in the league to being the luckiest 1-2 team. Three starters on bye and they get two +50 TDR's from Tshimanga Biakabutuka, only the third time in league history a RB has done that. Poor Bill. 19 points, but only one from Hanson, and Kordell Stewart falls apart in Pittsburgh. Woulda coulda...and hey, didn't Lawrence Phillips have a +50 TDR of his own this week? Da Drag gets LW4 this week, Rebs gets Knaak in the Battle of the Bills. Who's better off? I'm not sure. Wait and see who wins in Week 4 before you decide. |
