| This battle of the top two seeds failed to live up to it's potential as Seattle Blur's explosive offense fizzles out, leaving nothing but Cunningham and Hall behind and LW4 did just enough to win. SB scored more than 40 points threeof the last four weeks of the season, but did nothing in the playoffs but lose. Still, this gives Fred something to look forward to in '99. Ted finally wins a Consolation bowl, having lost in this game twice previously, in CB I and III. |

| Egomaniacs win their first Fantasy Bowl (in their third appearance) in controversial tie fashion after a late-game Ricky Watters TD PASS and Todd Peterson XP tie the game. Two of Ego's three playoff "victories" came after ties and the higher seed advancing. Mike Alstott came out of nowhere to score three TDR's for Rage, but Steve Young's two point conversion was a fateful point and Joe has to settle for second-best. |
