Bake-O's 34 - Outlaws 20
Mel GrayDenver comes off the bye week and single-handedly scores 34 for Bake-O's. Terrell Davis' 3 TDR's and Jason Elam's 16 pts (including a UFFL-record 63 yd FG) lead the way as the Chefs get the win and move back up to .500 on the season. Outlaws get a TDR from WR Terrell Owens but fall anyway and tumble into the RIOS cellar, setting up a match-up with the mighty Egoboys next week. Should be a real hoot.

Egomaniacs 24 - Munchen Mavericks 22
Jerome Bettis goes scoreless on Monday Night, and as a result, Egomaniacs hold on for the two point victory to raise their record to a league best 7-1. Munchen Mavericks are hard-luck losers, and stay tied with Sea Stags for first place in the SMRS division. As usual, the Steve Young/Todd Peterson combo lead the Ego offense, while MM get a surprisingly diverse performance from their roster, including a career-best 9 pts from WR Eric Moulds. It wasn't enough though, as Ego takes the win.

Iron Men 27 - The Windmilling Chaos 13
Iron Men get dominating performances from Brett Favre and new K Steve Christie to go to 6-2 and the top of the RIOS division while knocking TWC to a sorry 1-7. Just to mock me, Thurman Thomas actually scored his second TD of the season. He is the only TWC RB to score all year. Thus TWC is 1-7. Humorously enough, IM has scored as exactly as many points as two of the three last place teams in the league (the two that aren't TWC). They are winning in traditional TWC fashion. Appropriate that they get the win over Chaos, then.

Lethal Weapon 4 31 - Sea Stags 8
LW4 win their sixth game in a row behind Robert Smith's 57 yd TDR and stay one game behind Ego in BELT. On the other hand, Sea Staggers to its third loss in a row to barely hold on to a tie for first in the anti-competitive SLRS division -- three of its four teams have lost at least three games in a row. It's like the American League West all over again. NOTE OF (DIS)INTEREST: John Kasay has no FG's in four starts for SS, and six FG's in his other four games for the Panthers...Sea Stags are 4-4. Coincidence? Dunno, I'm too lazy to check. :-)

Rage 15 - Solvent Drag 8
In a battle of underachievers, Rage get the W despite starting the wrong QB. Not starting Doug Flutie wasn't as big a mistake as it could have been because (sorry Rod) this is Solvent Drag, now losers of four in a row and ahead of only Renegade Rebels (boy that sounds funny) in SLRS. Al Lohmiller at the K position gets all of Rod's points. Again. Hey Rod, maybe you and I should pay our dues and draft some new players...or get Temko to run our teams...

Seattle Blur 28 - Renegade Rebels 16
It's official: Renegade Rebels finally suck. Seattle Blur get the win as RR loses their third consecutive game for the first time ever and fall to an amazing 2-6, their most losses ever in one season. Once again Eddie George and Barry Sanders go scoreless (cut 'em loose, Bill (please?)!) and RR take the L. To be fair, it took a monster game from Joey Galloway to do the Rebs in, as he scored on two +70 yd plays, one a catch, one a run. Fred will take it, though, as it keeps him at 4-3-1, within striking distance of Iron Men in RIOS.
