Egomaniacs 26 - Renegade Rebels 13
Two teams moving in entirely different directions. Egomaniacs are now 5-1 and flying high with their early draft picks and a sneaky trade for Steve Young paying huge dividends so far. RR, meanwhile, have fallen on their hardest times ever. 2-4 with a RB corps that is having it's collective worst year ever. Big games for both teams next week, with Ego facing fellow division leader Sea Stags, and the Rebs trying to get healthy against perennial 'tweener LW4.

Munchen Mavericks 19 - Iron Men 16
The Packer bye hurts IM as they lose their second consecutive game to fall to 4-2. Backup QB Jake Plummer was scoreless with Brett Favre on the shelf. The Mavs still had to rely on a Monday Night comeback (Mike Hollis) to win the game, however. At 3-3, they may or may not be as good as that record implies, winning in grand TWC tradition (score a little, no pts from WR's, give up less). Iron Men will hope to rebound next week against an also-staggering Solvent Drag.

Lethal Weapon 4 32 - Solvent Drag 18
As usual, LW4 are either scoring a lot of points and winning or not doing much at all. So far this year it's more of the former, as they are now 4-2 after beating previously hot (sorry Rod) Solvent Drag. SD had a decent game this week, they just ran into Ted the week Antowain Smith decided to run for two scores and Peyton Manning actually did something. Who knew?

Outlaws 36 - Sea Stags 14
The Viking bye devestates the Sea Stag offense and they lose to fall to 4-2, but keep the SMRS lead by a game. The B-team WR corps (Rison and Stokes) failed to produce and Outlaws just went off, getting 36 points in a quintessential Run and Shoot game, their biggest offensive explosion since Week 7 of 1997, and riding big games by Jacksonville and Cincinnati to the victory.

Rage 40 - Bake-O's 19
Mel GrayRage win their second game in a row behind an 18 point MNF performance by Fred Taylor and Bake-O's fall to .500 as the Den connection is the only offense. Note that that's Den, as in Denver (Sharpe and Davis) and Denmark (Morten Andersen, in for the supposedly injured Elam). Dan is going to need production from his non-Broncos if he wants to three-peat.

The Windmilling Chaos 33 - Seattle Blur 25
The Windmilling Chaos is finally off the schneid, scoring an astounding 33 points, led by Chris Chandler (15 pts) and backup K Mike Vanderjagt (4 FG's), to hold off the Blur, who stormed back strong on Monday Night to make it interesting. Lucky for me Fred didn't start Jeff (15 pts and a tie if he starts) Wilkins. TWC will try to build on the win next week against an Outlaws team who had their own explosion this week. SB gets Bake-O's, both teams looking to bounce back big from losses.
