Bake-O's 22 - Iron Men 22
Richie Cunningham's 16 points brought the Iron Men back to a tie, but leaving rookie RB's Warrick "Wait Just A Second, Please, I'm Not" Dunn and Jay Graham on the bench proved costly as we see the second UFFL tie in as many weeks.

Munchen Mavericks 41 - Liquid Ham 13
MM spring back nicely from their Wk 1 tie and bring home first place money for the week. A huge game from K Mike Hollis proved to be too much for the Pork, as they fall to 1-1.

Outlaws 8 - Necrotic Slough 7
In a "one of those days" type game that hearkened back to the "glory" days of the 42nd Airborne, all 15 points in this game were scored by the kickers. That would probably earn a Chip Lohmiller (42nd's kicker) award if I weren't too lazy to make up a trophy graphic with Chip's face on it. Just don't let it happen again or I'll get over it...

Renegade Rebels 28 - Sea Stags 24
In the Monday Night Comeback of the Week, RR got 6 points from Rickey Dudley to pull out the win over Sea Stags in the early battle to stay the heck out of the SLRS Division cellar. Drew Bledsoe's hot start hasn't been enough to keep Karl from an 0-2 start -- hey, Karl!!! Change your luck, buddy!!! Start Jim Kelly and Sterling Sharpe next week!!! :)

Seattle Blur 37 - Lethal Weapon 4 25
Seattle Blur were in the Mel Gray game for the second straight week as these two high-powered teams slugged it out. SB, led by newcomer John Hall's 13 points and bolstered by a last-minute line-up change (that as it turns out, averted yet another tie) scored 37 points again as LW4 continued their '97 offensive revival, if a little less successfully.

The Windmilling Chaos 21 - Egomaniacs 2
In the shocker of the week, Egomaniacs, one of the highest-scoring teams in the UFFL the past two seasons, turned in the lowest score in their history -- only two points -- and dropped to 0-2-0. The EGO RB's gained over 250 yards rushing, but failed to score. TWC was able to take advantage behind two rookies -- Ryan "3 for 4" Longwell and Tiki Barber, and that wily veteran...the Thurmanator, in hot pursuit of the TWC career scoring record.
