CONSOLATION BOWL IX |

Seattle Blur 59 - Rage 17 |
I'm not quite sure what to say about this one. This might be the first time in playoff history a team has had all seven players score. It's certainly the most points scored in a playoff game, not to mention the biggest blowout in playoff history. Rickey Dudley doubled his entire 2000 output in one game and there were a total of 11 TDR's and TDC's. That was just for the Blur. The Fantasy Bowl just had four total - for both teams! Basically, Fred's guys just beat the hell out of Joe V's and SB captures its first Consolation Bowl and wins in Week 17 for the second year in a row. Rage had a good season, though, and will be back for more next year. |

Egomaniacs 24 - Renegade Rebels 24 |
This time it was Renegade Rebels trying to storm back, and they just couldn't quite make it. The missed FG by Olindo Mare hurt very badly, but consider that they got three points off two point conversions. Take those away, give Mare the FG, and we're still tied. Then again, if Carrier had started Brunell (7 pts) it wouldn't have mattered. The UFFL crowns co-champions for the first time in its history. Ego got a big game from Joe Nedney to offset the injury to Daunte Culpepper. The Rebs were balanced, but just couldn't quite do it in the end. |
