Week 16 Results

Egomaniacs 24 - Rage 22
Well, Shaun King didn't do it for Rage this time. Joe V watched in horror as Tampa's last two drives ended with a Dave Moore drop in the end zone, a Jacquez Green drop near the goal line, an interception in the end zone, and a Warrick Dunn TDR. I thought they had it on that long swing pass to Dunn, but they called it a run for Dunn, and Knaak holds on by the skin of his Egomaniacal teeth. A HUGE game for Daunte Culpepper carried the day, as Knaak got nothing else other than K points. Poor games by Jacksonville and Denver hurt Rage as well, and they advance to the Consolation Bowl to meet Seattle Blur, the week's other hard-luck non-winner (none of these teams are losers). :-) Oh, and for what its worth to anyone, TWC would have beaten Egomaniacs this week, 45-24. You got lucky, Knaak. Wait 'til next year. Grrrrrr...

Renegade Rebels 40 - Seattle Blur 38
For the second week in a row, Renegade Rebels score 40 on Sunday then watch their opponents come back in a comeback attempt that falls just short. Marshall Faulk's four TD's brought the Blur to the brink of the Fantasy Bowl, but the late TD by Torry Holt did them in. Kurt Warner was on the bench in favor of Aaron Brooks, but I can't call it a bonehead because with Saints playing the Falcons and the Rams playing the Bucs I'd've likely made the same move (for what it's worth...we know all about my acumen in picking starters). The real hard luck came on that Bruce drop at the very end of the game...they might have gotten Wilkins in position for a FG. The Rebs ride 3 TDR's by Eddie "Snowman" George into the Fantasy Bowl and Fred prepares to ship the trophy Billward. Which Bill will get it? We'll know in a week.
