Iron Men 23 - Lethal Weapon 4 22
I believe there was a UFFL first in this game. A victory was overturned due to instant replay. Late in the Cowboys-Jaguars game, Jackie Harris caught a TD to give Ted a 25-23 victory. Upon further review, however, the TD was taken away from Harris, and Randall Cunningham took the ball in on a QB sneak on the next play. Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory by a referee's decision. I can't remember that ever happening before, and Ted's tough luck continues. LW4 falls to 3-5-1 and is in the LRMS cellar with SB on tap for Week 10. Iron Men win, but maintain their grip on the UFFL No. 12 ranking. They get SS this week.

MacBain's 69th Highlanders 28 - Outlaws 28
The Monday Night Comeback of the Week® saw the Macs come from behind on Brad Johnson's 2 TDP's and beat the Outlaws by getting the tie. Outlaws remain atop TOBE but lose the UFFL No. 1. It could have been avoided had Elvis Grbac been the Outlaws QB instead of Goose Egg Gannon and if Emmitt Smith had scored. Instead, we get the third tie in the UFFL this year. What a mess. Derrick Alexander (along with Grbac) had a big day, scoring 2 +50 TDC's. MacBain stay a half-game ahead of Iron Men in SMIR. A game with Bake-O's this week should prove indicative of something (I don't know what, though) for those two teams. Outlaws get RR in the GotW.

Rage 21 - The Windmilling Chaos 20
The third game of the week with a one point margin or less saw TWC fall just short against Rage. Where the heck did Shawn King find those 4 TDP's? Are you kidding me? The anemic Atlanta offense continues to haunt TWC and the Denver bye week was a big blow. TWC could have won if either Warrick Dunn or Derrick Mason had started, but they didn't. Rage suffer a blow with the injury to Wesley Walls. TWC falls to 2.5 games behind Outlaws in TOBE, and Rage maintain first place in LRMS. It's TWC vs. MM in Week 10 in the Battle of the Internet Geeks, and Rage gets Egomaniacs.

Renegade Rebels 16 - Munchen Mavericks 9
The lowest scoring game of the week sees Renegade Rebels continue their dominance of Munchen Mavericks. In all honesty, a fairly non-descript game. I really can't find much to say (sorry, Bill), except that the Rebs stay a game beind the Blur in SMIR and the Mavs are ahead of LW4 in LRMS only because they've scored more points during the season.

Sea Stags 45 - Egomaniacs 27
Sea Stags actually win the Mel game for once, behind 4 TD's (2 TDR, 2 TDC) from Marshall Faulk and 5 FG's (1 +50) from Sebastian Janikowski. EGO get a good game from Nedney, but Minnesota's inability to score in Tampa and the injury to Sylvester Morris really put a crimp in their game. Kudos also, to Dave Moore, who actually scored for Tampa. You know it's a good week for Karl if Dave Moore scores. Sea Stags keep pace with Rage in LRMS and Egomaniacs stay just behind TWC in TOBE. Ironically, EGO plays Rage this week, and can help SS immensely with a win.

Seattle Blur 31 - Bake-O's 7
Poor Dan. Carolina's offense is in the tank, Denver was on bye. What's a bake-o to do? Well, lose, I guess, and lose badly. Seattle Blur rode 2 TDR's from a soon-to-be-injured Dorsey Levens to the victory, and Bake-O's get the Chip Lohmiller effort, Morten in relief of the on-bye Elam getting their only points. The win, coupled with Outlaws' tie, moves Seattle Blur to 7-2 and back into the Number 1 Ranking. Bake-O's are in the middle of a big scrum at 3-5-1 and find themselves in the TOBE cellar.
