Egomaniacs 32 - Bake-O's 10
Well, Bake-O's aren't undefeated any more, and the Kingship is very much up for grabs. The second round of divisional play will tell the tale. Knaak didn't submit a lineup this week, confidently carrying over his Wk 2 starters. Shrewd moves like that will get you a long way in this game, Bill. Shim had Mr. Beasley on the bench, not that it would have mattered. Who knew that the Falcons would return to 1998 form and render the Panthers moot? Certainly not Dan. And amazingly, Dan didn't pick up Mike Anderson, making him the first Denver feature back since Jon Keyworth not to play for Bake-O's.

Munchen Mavericks 27 - Lethal Weapon 4 21
The Mavs move to 1-2, moving out of the early-season LRMS cellar. LW4 stay there, saddened by Ted's inexplicable decision to pick up Mike Anderson, yet leave him on the bench. At least he started Tiki Barber this week. Munchen Mavericks got a great run-and-shoot day, all four WR's scoring. Only Akili Smith of the Bungles got a donut. If Terrell Davis starts in Week 4, the Mavs may get another Denver back next week when they play the Shims. Ted gets Carrier in the Battle of Guys Named Ted and Bill. (sorry, bad joke - it's late and I'm tired.) :-)

Outlaws 34 - The Windmilling Chaos 15
They're still ba-a-a-a-ack!!! Outlaws get the Mel and first place money for the second week in a row with a pasting of TWC. A good, well-rounded effort by the Outlaws, with points from five starters. TWC continues to get good production from the QB position (finally), but still has abhorrent RB luck - I sit Jamal and he scores! Go figure. Timing, as I told Knaak last week, is everything in this game. TWC gets Iron Men next week...might see 10 points total in that game. Ugh. Outlaws get Rage - maybe 100 points there. Talk about your contrasts!

Two points? Ugh. May as well resurrect the 42nd Airborne.

Sea Stags 27 - Rage 15
Well, Rage won't score 518 points, unless they score 50-something points here and there, which they might, but they didn't do it this week. Joe's decision to sit Mike Alstott met with a resounding "Ur?" here in Gwinnett County, not that it had an impact in the end. What did have an impact was Marshall Faulk's three TDR's. He becomes the third player to achieve that this season, which may be a record. I don't know that for sure, though, because I haven't finished putting all the stats in Access yet and the record books are in disarry. We'll know someday, though, as long as someone remembers we're supposed to check...

Seattle Blur 32 - MacBain's 69th Highlanders 15
Seattle Blur moves to 3-0 by beating MacBain like the Braves beat the Mets. The Rowdy Scots prove to be just slightly irritating as Al The Greek's bye week does them in. They just can't win without The Man in the K slot. Seattle Blur take advantage and get the W. Fred gets Knaak next week. If this were pro wrestling (sort of continuing last week's Rowdy Roddy Bain rant), just imagine the interviews that would be conducted in the days leading up to that SB-EGO game. The rhetoric would be flowing fast and furious, boy! The game (if it were real, I mean) would be played in a steel cage, with a football wrapped with barbed wire up on a pole. Heck, I'd buy the pay-per-view...
